We our passionate about our local hospice, Dorothy House. They care for over 2500 patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families each year, all for free.
But the need for their care is rising (expected to reach over 4000 per year by 2025). Dorothy House simplymust grow to ensure they can be there for all who need them.

Dorothy House is our local hospice, and for the next 36 hours I am proud to be doing all I can to help them raise £500,000 so they can continue to be there for those facing death, dying and bereavement across our community.
Over 50,000 local residents have benefited from Dorothy House’s care over the last 46 years. During the darkest times of peoples’ lives, their incredible team of nurses, medics, carers, therapists and counsellors have brought compassion and outstanding care to help people live well for as long as possible, and have a peaceful, dignified death.
All of their services are provided for free, wherever and whenever they are needed.
But the need for their expert care is rising at a rapid rate, and they urgently need to grow their services to make sure no-one has to face death alone. To do so, they need to raise an additional £2 million over the next 3 years, and this appeal is the first step in that journey.

The band East 17 is embarking on its Stay Another Day – Winter / Christmas Tour and the itinerary includes a gig in Bath in mid-December.
Founded in London in 1991, they take their name from Walthamstow’s postcode. The original line-up consisted of Tony Mortimer, John Hendy, Brian Harvey and Terry Coldwell. They now continue today as the trio of Terry Coldwell, Robbie Craig since 2014 and Joe Livermore since 2019.
East 17 have achieved a total of 18 Top 20 singles as well as four Top 10 albums, selling over 18 million records and realising worldwide success during the mid-1990s. Their 1994 single ‘Stay Another Day’ held the top spot for five weeks and was Christmas Number 1.
They are one of the leading acts of their era, blending RnB, hip hop and pop to create their own distinctive sound. Grittier and definitively real, this can be heard in songs such as ‘Steam’ and ‘House of Love’.
The band is supported on this occasion by pop outfit S Club All Stars and, with double gold-selling albums, by hip-hop group Blazin’ Squad.
